Its about that time of year when you sit down in front of all your nail polishes pondering on what colour to sport next. As winter slowly fades ( and I mean SLOWLY) as a nail polish addict I desperately seek new shades of colours I already own haha!

Thanks to Models owns new Freshen Up collection and MeMeMe Chic mini collection, I can safely say I'm covered in the nail department for the next few months *cough cough* ok maybe weeks!

With pastel shades galore gracing the shop shelves I'm sure there's a colour to suit and flatter everyone. Il have them all please!!!

So I haven't blogged in a while as iv been major busy and to be honest I haven't really felt inspired. So anyway, a certain someone persuaded me to make a video instead. So I did, and even though I cant say how long it will last ( because I feel so uncomfortable) but I thought id give you all the chance to see it anyway.

So today some of you may have seen me tweeting about foundation. Soon after I received numerous messages from my friend telling me I had to get the Estee Lauder double wear. Seen as there seems to be nothing but good reviews about this stuff online, I decided to take the plunge. Off I dashed to the shops an hour before they shut : /. To cut a long story short, I got myself colour matched and for anyone that might be the same colour as me, I was told I'm a neutral tone and was matched to 3N1 Ivory Beige. Which may I add is the most perfect match iv ever had in a foundation, Its identical to my skin! I cant wait to get ready for work in the morning just to slap this on. Iv heard it stays put ALL DAY yes all day, even the lady at the counter was telling me its all the workers choice because they don't have to worry about touch ups through the day. Bring on the flawless face!

Anyhoo.... Off I trotted to pay at another till and in front of me I say this luminescent goodness. I immediately swiped some on my hand and was sold straight away. The lady at the counter then offered to pop some on my cheeks, I agreed and fell in love all over again. I didn't even care about the price, this stuff was just too purdy to pass by. Turned out it was about £30 which one would expect for a Laura Mercier product. It also turns out that this stuff is popular *blogger living under a rock* so I'm glad I got my hands on it especially as its LE. The morning couldn't come quick enough, I fell like a child at Christmas....

So those are my new additions are any of you fans of the double wear or the highlighter ( if you've managed to nab one ).....?

Hey ladies, I had to share this post with you on two products I'm LOVING at the moment. Lets face it, its no longer cold outside its just plain old freezing. Just because everything around me is turning white in the cold, it doesn't mean I'm about to let the same thing happen with my skin.

I have owned the Skin glow for quite some time now. Just apply a smidgen to the skin before applying your foundation or mix with your foundation to give your skin that added radiance.

And for that added boost of dewy goodness you need the little pot of goodness (pictured above) in your life. Another product from the Topshop range, this highlighter named 'polished' is a little god send. I fell in love with it at first sight. I think it cost me about £8 but its definitely worth it. If you love radiant cheekbones and highlighted brow bones this will be your best friend. A little goes a long way but makes just enough impact for your cheeks to look like they've been kissed by an angel. If I haven't sold you on it already, you need to check it out next time your in Topshop, but if you cant wait both products are also available on their site.

So the other night (Sunday to be precise) I saw a tweet from Rock n Rose saying they were having a half price sale for an hour. Me being me , of course I indulged .....

Barry M Gold Foil Effect...

So Ive always had a thing for navy, but lately I've had this thing about wearing navy and having gold nails (don't ask!) So when I had seen that Barry M released yet another nail effect I thought I would give it a go. Not being a fan of your standard gold polish , this looked right up my street as the shade was less over powering as well as being semi matte.

They claim that this polish gives a foil like effect. I have been staring at my nails since I had applied this and my scientific conclusion is hmmmm it kinda does...... its like the non shiny side of tin foil but gold.

Its really hard to capture on camera as the flash shows up its gold flecks but in reality you cant see that at all. Its the perfect gold for my random skin tone, all I need now is a few rings on each hand and a navy outfit then I'll be good to go.

I picked this up in Superdrug, I cant remember the exact price but the Barry M site (HERE) will give you all the info you need.

Unreal Tanning

This post is for the lovers of fake tan but ESPECIALLY for people who have fairer skin that long to tan but can never find one that one special bottle that gives them that holiday glow.

Unreal Tannings story.....

Laura Hawthorne and her mother set up Unreal Tanning in 2009. They were extremely pale skinned and were fed up of not being able to tan in the sun (They have a family history of skin cancer) and being orange every time they attempted a fake tan! So they travelled out to America at the start of 2009 and met with a great team of skincare product technicians. They wanted to create a brand that advocated sun damage awareness as well as skincare advice (They have an educational ethos). All their products contain Eco-cert DHA (the ingredient that temporarily dyes the skin) and they never use alcohols, petrochemicals, parabens or artificial fragrances or colourants in their products, making everything suitable for people with sensitive skin!

Now even though I am mixed, I am also ridiculously pale so im not impartial to a bit of tan now and again. I have used enough different tanning products over the years to know whats a hit and whats a miss in my books. So rather than rambling on, i'll get onto the nitty gritty of what we really want to know.

The Body Buff...

Personally I am a tad fussy when it comes to body scrubs, I need the scrub on my skin otherwise I don't feel like its working. I would say that this scrub has a medium scrub factor, its not overly scratchy but you an feel it. It also smells divine as it contains Mango, Shea and Coconut which leaves skin soft and hydrated ready for tanning. Another plus is that although it contains these moisturising ingredients, it doesn't leave an oily residue behind.

The Tanner

This tanner is a mist with a difference. Once misted onto skin the consistency almost changes into a light gel which I liked because it was easier to distribute than your standard tanning mist.

The smell.... On a scale of 1-10 1 being no smell at all and 10 being full on biscuit fake tan smell, I would give this a 4. Its not overpowering at all and if im honest you can really smell the tanner, its more of an aloe vera scent that you can smell.

The colour... I think you will all agree with me when I say that the colour is pretty darn good. A true golden glow that we all want from a fake tan. I even waited a day and applied another layer and the colour still ticked all my boxes.

How long it lasted... The tan itself lasted about a week in full and kept its original deep colour for about 4 days before it started to fade.

The fade... So that I could test the power of this tan to full effect, I let it fade without exfoliating my skin. After about 4 days the colour started to lightly fade. The tan faded nicely until about day 6 when I had to get the scrub out.

Overall view...

This tanner has made its way into my top 5. Its easy to apply, it doesn't stink and the colour is everything I would want it to be. At £17.50 its not the cheapest but It is worth it.

Me Me Me Shimmer Stack

[Colours swirled together]

In the past these babies have been dubbed the dupe of Bobbi Browns shimmer bricks and I can see why. Except if you don't want to go down the high end road, you can pick these up for £9.99 (currently on deal for £8.49 online)

If your into your highlights and iridescent shimmers then one of these stacks will do the job for you. With each stack containing 5 shades and with 3 different stacks to choose from (pink, gold and bronze) there's one to suit everyone.

The stacks in the pictures above are the gold and the pink. I must say at present the gold is my fave. I use the top colour in the stack daily to highlight my brow bone and swirl the golds together to give my cheeks a subtle golden glow.

I originally thought that these stacks would be packed with glitter before I opened them, but to my surprise they weren't. They give you more of a sheen/glow to the skin rather than that, 'I just dipped my face in some glitter' look, which nobody really wants.

I find that they are best applied lightly with a large fluffy brush or a duo fibre brush. I tend to apply mine in a 'C' shape, from my cheek bone to my brow bone lightly blending as I go.

I have had these for some time now and I honestly think that its one of those products that will last a while, as one swirl goes a long way. I did try and take pictures of each of the colours in the stack individually but my crappy camera just wasn't picking up the colours! I managed to get a picture of all the shades swirled together to give you a rough idea of what I'm rambling on about. So next time your in Superdrug, have a little swatch of your own.

Hey girlie's, I'm so sorry for my absence at the moment but life's been major busy..... a little too busy for even my liking. But I have Friday clear so I'm hoping to catch up on my back log of posts I have waiting in the wings for you all.

I just wanted to quickly type this up as a thank you really. The other morning I woke up to a tweet letting me know im up for a Cosmo beauty award, under the established beauty blog category. Firstly I thought that there had to be some kind of mistake, so I checked the site and realised there hadn't been. Seen as it was 5.30am when I found this out it didn't seem to sink in. There's no way I ever thought that I would be short listed for such an award, so much so, that I had actually removed the "vote for me" badge off of my blog a week after placing it as I didnt think anyone would really vote for me. I cant believe how wrong I actually was. So I just need to let all you guys out there reading this know that I think you are all pretty amazing. Better Hair....

On my quest for perfect locks, im hitting up every angle possible. Here are a couple things that I have been using to aid me in keeping my locks in tip top condition...

Silk Kiss Pillows

Obviously I have seen people wrap their hair at night to lock in moisture and keep the hair in place whilst sleeping, ie no knots, tangles or frizz! but I was never able to do it because my hair was way too long. So plan B..... Silk pillow cases. Basically does the same thing for your hair that wrapping it does, minus the wrapping.

Since I have been sleeping on my silk case, I no longer wake up looking like an extra from Annie. My hairs tangle free and there's alot less frizz. Which means when I brush my hair a lot less comes out!

I have had my case for a while now, and even though im rambling on about hair, there's also other benefits to sleeping on Silk...

Prevents knotted hair and split ends

Stimulates hydration, giving shinier hair

Reduces sebum production, no greasy hair

Prevents acne and unclear skin

Allows for more efficient use of night creams, providing better skin hydration

Prevents creased morning skin and bed-head

If im honest I wasn't aware a silk pillow case had half of these benefits until I slept on one for a few months myself. I cant comment on the skin benefits as I have never really had trouble there, but it really is helping the condition of my hair.

Last but not least is Amla Oil. I never knew about this stuff until my friend told me I had to try it. At first I was reluctant because she told me it wreaked *sigh* but then I saw the rate her hair was growing...... there was no question about what my next hair product purchase was going to be.

I know you can pick this up in hair shops and if you type it in Google a load of places will probably sell it online too.I picked mine up randomly in a newsagents for £3.75.

How I use it

Firstly this stuff does stink! there's is no way you could pop this on your hair and head outdoors, believe me when I say you will stop traffic, but for the wrong reasons. You don't need to use a lot of this product, as it is an oil a little goes a long way.

If I use this as a standard treatment I use a tablespoon on my root area and massage it into my scalp, followed by a tablespoon on my mid lengths and ends. I then wrap my hair in cling film and a warm towel and leave it on for as long as possible. For me this usually ranges between 45 min and 2hrs. I then wash my hair thoroughly to get rid of the smell.

If I use this a as a deep treatment, I do the same except I will sleep with it in my hair all night then wash it out the next day.

For a daily fix I dip one finger into the oil, swipe it over the rest of my fingers and then I massage it into my scalp. This way you don't get the overpowering smell but you still get your fix.

I have been using my oil for about 3months now and I can confirm every girl needs this in their life. My hair is thicker, longer and shinier. What more does a girl want...?

I don't really think I need to say much else......

Sleek Au Naturel...

For those that love their nudes your in for a treat. Sleek make up will seen be releasing their Nude collection, which consist of an array of nude delights. The nude palette contains a mixture of mattes and shimmer based shadows, ranging from earthy browns to natural tan.

I am probably not the best person to swatch this palette as most of the colours blend into my beige skin : /, but I hope you can get the jest.

Up first the pout polish in Bare Minimum (£4.29) this pout polish definitely has to be my favourite yet. It wouldn't show up in a swatch so I didn't bother to include one. To some it up in one, it gives a lovely wash of nude colour to the lips.

Up next is the blush in Suede (£4.29) which is swatched above. A perfect tone for contouring or adding a pop of colour to your natural make up.

Lastly the palette in Au-Naturel (£6.49) I personally cant wait to create a smokey eye with this. I'm loving the deep earth tones included in this palette, as well as the matte browns for a subtle but sultry day time look.

When I hear the word Sudocrem, I automatically think grey tub, nappy rash and babies bums ( Might be a mum thing) but the smell automatically takes me back to changing nappies. So when I had heard they had released a squeezy tube skin care cream, I was slightly intrigued.

I was expecting a different formula and scent to go along with the miniature sized squeezy tube, but I didn't get what I expected.The cream was still its usual thick consistency along with the trade mark scent.Not one to judge something off first glance, I carried this around in my bag waiting for the perfect moment to whip this out..... this moment never happened *face palm* so I decided I would try it out on the annoying dry patch that I seems to make an appearance on my face once a year.

I removed my make up and trialed this at night, as I naturally suspected a thick cream like this to be quite greasy. I used a teeny bit and smeared it on the patch, and used the remaining cream on my cheeks and forehead.

To my surprise when I woke the next day the dry patch was a lot less 'dry' and my cheeks were really soft... who knew!!!! I kept using it and now the dry patch is barely there. I never would have thought that this cream would have helped me in any way. Its worth checking out if you have any skin problems.

I would have personally preferred a thinner formula and a lighter scent, but hey ho you cant have it all I suppose....

Hey all, sorry I haven't posted in a while, Windows 7 decided to update my laptop and now my wireless refuses to work. It still isn't working but luckily I can run the net through my phone. Hope it starts working again soon.

Anyway.... after watching Lisa Eldridge's latest vid on the new french mani, I just had to have a go. Check the vid HERE . The idea is, is that you paint your tip around the nail rather than across it, which is good for those with shorter nails as it gives the illusion that they are longer.

I kind of adapted my mani for my nail shape as they are naturally pretty square, but if you go for a more oval shape, this mani will definitely be a doddle.

The colours I opted for were Nude Beige and Purple Rain, both from Models own

I must say I am loving the new french, I may try this out with a matte tip next.

When I took this baby out of the box ,I was shocked at how big it was, its massive!!!

As of late I have been giving my hair a major break, with the top knot being my go too hair style. Any hairstyle I hand do that doesn't involve heat is definitely my friend right now. Or if all fails whack in a headband.

I fell in love with this silky burnt orange one from Matalan (£5). When I saw it, it immediately caught my eye. It also came in a teal if I remember correctly.

EDIT: I have just come back from shopping and I have seen these headbands in Topshop and DP for more money.

They also had sale in their jewellery section which is worth checking out. The double finger green ring is my fave and a steal at £1.

Sorry for the Random web cam pic but I forgot to take a picture to go with the post and couldn't really be bothered to take a million pics to get the perfect shot (bloggers you know what I'm talking about)

Anyway, a few weeks ago whilst at Fabulous mag the make up artist applied this lippie on me and I fell in love. When I realised who it was made by and realised the price I fell in love again.

A little while ago a group of chicas on twitter were twit picking each other this sexy bag.....errrrm hello I want in people, and of course I got in lol

At the time this sexy little Wang Rocco knock off (if you must) was only available from buyers abroad. So I decided to be a patient bunny and hold out until a UK ebay seller caught wind of this so I could order from them. I ordered from HERE for those of you already screaming at the screen where did I get it. The one I ordered is sadly out of stock, never fear though, there are a few other UK sellers doing there thing in the Wang *cough* inspired game.

All together including p&p this baby came to £32 which isn't bad for the size and quality of it. Even though I still lust for this one HERE and I vow to have it sitting in my room by the end of the year (after I get my car!) this baby is definitely my new friend *looks in mirror, puts shades on and pouts*

Lese Shoes

Thanks to the world of twitter I discovered a new company called Lese Shoes. I read their description box which said....

Instantly my jaw dropped and like the shoe whore I am I headed over to their site instantly. At first I was thinking that if I'm earning points buying shoes that the shoes would have to be slightly overpriced right...... errrm wrong!

I clicked on the option 'brunch shoe' instantly fell in love with the ELLE wedges and chucked them in my basket. Although I was a tad skeptical ordering from a company I had just heard of, it was late, I was tired I wanted shoes and these babies were definitely worth the risk. This little moment of weakness occurred at 11pm Tuesday night and they arrived this morning, (2 days later) rather speedy Id say.

I now have 30 Lese points on my account and I believe that 20 points is equal to £5. I'm too impatient to let them build up so I shall be getting these babies for £20. Scweeeeet. Oh and I forgot to mention, delivery is free : D

Some of you may have seen me tweet that today my blog is 2 years old, so in blogging land its my Bloggerversary!!

I just wanted to drop a quick post to thank all of you that have followed my antics on here since good old 2009 and all those that have joined me along the way.

I'm hoping to change things up on here soon, so keep your eyes peeled for more fun and dry humoured banter

The Perfect Bun...

On an impromptu trip to Primarni I came across a bun ring for £1, I have always wanted one but have never been that bothered to go out of my way to get one, but after using it I wish I had.

All you do is put your hair in a ponytail

Put your ponytail through the hole in the bun ring

Fan your hair around it

I then put a hair band around it to secure my hair in place, alternatively you could use hair grips (but I find a hair band is much quicker)

I then use hair grips to pin any longer bits of hair under the bun so they are nicely hidden

And voila your bun is perfect and your ready to go...

Spotlight Bargain

I have always lusted after Rimmels Spotlight Beige as I was an avid lover of Nude Delight, but I just never got round to picking it up until the other day.......

Let me set the scene.... I go into the £1 shop to pick up a device my friend was telling me about, it looks like a racket but the middle zaps flies *yay* (sorry fly lovers) I also picked up some fly and wasp spray (as you do) I mean leaving the back door open in this sunny weather is a danger in itself... flies, wasps *shudder* you need to be armed ladies!!!

Anyway whilst queuing up I spy a whole basket full of Rimmel lipsticks and to my shock it was Spotlight Beige for £1 *faints* I mean this still retails for £6.29 in Boots. I rummaged through to see if there were any other shades but there wasn't. I picked one up and went on my merry way. Thing is , now I'm wondering why the hell I didn't pick up 2 urghhhh ULTIMATE FAIL!!!

Buffed over hand with sigma F84

I have had this in my collection for ages and lately its been getting a lot of action. I have been using this every single day without fail, and if I don't use it I feel a bit naked.

The Body Shop Baked to last bronzer in shade 02 warm glow, is perfect if you want exactly that. It contains hues of pinks and golds to give you that perfect glow. I used to apply it with my duo fibre but now I apply it with my Sigma F84 (angled top kabuki) and it gives my cheeks a sheen to die for.

The sun has been in and out in London, but I managed to catch quite a descent tan over the hot weekend we had last week, this just set it off perfectly.

Whilst browsing the net for some nail art inspiration, I came across some rather retro looking stripey nail action. Of course I gave it ago, even if its not the best practice makes perfect.

My base colour is the H&M polish from my previous post. Then you simply paint the white where you want it, followed by the black lines and your done.

Hope I have inspired a few nail art lovers out there....

Tip: For those that don't own a black nail art pen, just use a black liquid eyeliner, it works just as well.

Whilst standing in line at H&M I noticed that they had placed a row of polishes at the counter. Not one to turn a blind eye I slightly lent out of the queue to take a peek. They had some lovely colours but for some reason this one stood out to me. Call me boring and bland if you like, but I feel that my choices at the moment are clearly reflecting the weather..... GREY!

It could be my eyes or the fact I'm impartial to seeing what I want, but I'm pretty sure I detect a hint or purple up in this polish *friend looks at me* "NO Mich....its grey!" errrm ok so maybe my eyes are messing with me a bit, but it is a lovely shade of grey (cant believe I even said that )

At £2.99 I shall definitely be checking out the other colours. One coat was enough although I always go for two just for good measure. The polish is a nice consistency and it applied nicely. If any of you have tried the polishes from this range and would recommend a specific colour ,do let me know.

I don't usually share products that I haven't had a chance to road test, but if I'm impressed by them withing the first few minutes its definitely worth the a share.

Many of you have probably seen the latest additions to Eyeko but if your late like me you haven't, so let me fill you in....

The Fat Balms have been around for a while now, but they had a little revamp and some new shades were added. As for the Liptastiks they are fairly new I believe and I haven't really seen much hype about them and I'm not sure why. At first glance I was expecting them to have a dry crayon type finish, but oh how I was wrong when I swatched them. Smooth with a mid gloss finish, so I applied the red to my lips and omg, I'm fully in love. Firstly the application was perfect due to the precision of the pen, and secondly the colour was so pigmented.

I wasn't heading out or anything so I decided to put the lippie through a little test so to make this post worth while.... Insert massive bowl of chicken noodles and errm a glass or two *cough cough* of Pepsi. After a few slurps later and a look in the mirror I must say it held up quite well. There was some colour missing from the centre off my lips but it was nothing that smooshing them together couldn't fix. All in all I'm quite impressed, and I'm sooooo rocking the red today (If it stops bloody raining!).

The Fat Balm is also lovely, it smells sweet and gives lips a sheer tint of colour and your cheeks a pop of freshness.

17 Shizzle....

So yesterday I passed by Boots to pick up the new Limited edition bronzer from 17 in Miami pop. Little did I know that if you pick up two 17 items you get a FREE nail kit in a bag which includes 2 polishes a mini nail file and some nail art stickers. So of course I picked up a polish for myself. My camera wasn't quite picking it up but Sherbet Lemon is a must if you love your pale pastel tones, finally a yellow that suits me *punches air*

Onto the bronzer, I'm loving it. This is definitely one for those with a darker skin tone too. The golden sheen is immense without the glitter ball effect. Applied with a light hand your cheeks will no doubt be the sexiest ones around, I'm so taking this on holiday, I'm feeling this would be amazing over a tan.

Last but not least the mini nail art kit. For the polishes alone its worth it. I'm not sure if the colours vary but inside my bag was Pink Grapefruit and Knockout Red. Both colours are lovely and the red is so opaque which is a major plus. I'm also loving the mini nail file you get with it *pops it in handbag* I'm not sure about the heart shape stickers though, I think I may send them in my child's direction -_- ......

Definitely check out the Miami pop bronzer if you haven't already, I think it cost about £4.50 well worth the change. They also have two polishes (a pink and an orange) and a gloss(pink) available as part of this limited edition collection encase that floats your boat. I don't think this collection is around for long so if you are interested in it I pick up your pieces now.

I have the type of hair that nothing really works on, so when I find a product that does work I tend to add it to my mini train of products that could.

John Frieda 3 Day straight is a semi permanent styling spray that keeps hair straight for up to 3 days or until you next wash it. The reason I love this idea is because its cheap!!! I was never going to part with hundreds for a Brazilian blow dry for it not to work, resulting in me being left traumatised.

How you use it: Spray EVENLY through wet or towel dry hair. Blow dry hair and then straighten. It also protects your hair from heat so no need to load up your barnet with a concoction of products.

The product stays in your hair until you wash it out, so if you notice any waves or kinks over the following days, using your straighteners will reactivate the product and take you back to sleek avenue.

The first time I used it I was in shock. My hair was straight, soft and shiny. I didn't feel any sticky build up (which I was fearing) and I could still run my fingers through my hair, which is a definite must for me. But we all know when I road test a product once is not enough, oh no..... I used it a few more times with the same results. I tend to have to put some kind of heat to my hair daily to control it, but even on day 3 I still didn't have too.

I would definitely recommend this is you love your straight hair or even if your trying to give your hair a break from heat like me. Its well worth it, and at £6.99 you cant complain.

Just thought I would share with you the latest edition to MeMeMe's nail collections...

The brights collection is indeed that! It includes 4 eye catching colours to get you in that summertime mood.

From let to right: 60 Vivacious a bright hot pink, 89 Tenacious a fabulous turquoise, 64 Spirited a peachy orange and 80 Impulsive a bright Lemony yellow

I have to say that my fave is definitely the peachy orange, closely followed by the pink. I'm thinking that the green and yellow would look great with a tan (note to self.. tan later).

I have posted about MeMeMe polishes in the past, and I must admit I didn't get on well with the size of the brush, it was just too big for my nails! (thumbs down). So I'm a fan of all bracelets small and rustic, whether they are charms on string or just a plain leather strap. I always seem to be drawn to these simple yet attractive pieces of jewellery.

These babies (£1.99 H & M) caught my eye instantly. Available in an array of colours I could have easily purchased them all! Seen as these babies were placed right by the till (argh!!!) I found myself uncontrollably chucking them down on top of the pile of my clothing being scanned through the till -_- . Eventually I told myself "NO" and settled for these 3.

I'm loving H&M at the moment, they are stocking a lot of these these type of bracelets which is all good for me, and I'm pretty sure they have loads on deal too. I shall definitely be making a return visit!

Sometimes you gotta love the go-to brands for the things you just need.

For a long time now I have been loving these products and I'm sure a lot of you know already that they are a sure dupe for the Benefit ones but at a fraction of the price.

EVERYDAY I use the moonbeam highlight without fail. I definitely think its a must have for the make up bag. I just pat a little on my cheekbone up to my brow bone and I'm done... radiant glow in an instant. You can also use it under foundation to brighten the skin, giving you that dewy look we all love. No chunks of glitter included! and I find it lasts quite long on me too. They also do this in a golden tone too (sunbeam) which I need to get me some more of because my ones empty : ( sad times

I don't use the cheek & lip tint as often but I use it enough to be able to tell you I love it. I pat a little on my lips followed by some Carmex for a sexy but demure pout, and when the sun was out, this was giving my cheeks a long lasting natural flush of colour. This also comes in a pink shade, Poppy Tint that I haven't tried yet, let me know if I should...

The stuff leather dreams are made of, this needs to be mine. Iv been loving this jacket for months now and its only the last couple of days where I thought "screw it, I'm placing an order" especially when my friend informed me she could get 25% off whoop whoop

£195 from All Saints, I headed over to the site to discover there were only a couple of sizes left. But to my horror when I refreshed the page my eyes were assaulted by the following message.... This item is sold out! At this very moment in time I'm not a happy bunny : (, But after searching the web trusty EBay has come to the rescue, thing is I'm not too keen on the prices these sellers are trying to sling these jackets for. I mean £285 hmmmm, I can only hope All Saints bring this baby back into store.

I'm not to sure whats going down here.... I picked up my usual face and body in C4 but it wasn't until I got home that I noticed something wasn't right. My old one is much darker than the new one. In reality the comparison is much more gasp worthy. I doubt that its oxidised that much as I don't remember C4 being that light when I originally bought it.

I mean MAC's not just around the corner for me to toddle back down there!!

I have emailed their customer service so hopefully I can get this sorted as I'm not the only one that has had this issue.

So word of warning ladies, check your face and bodies before you leave the store....

Candy Cane...

Ok, im sure you all know that Sleek have recently bought out a load of new true colour lippies so I will skip that boring part.....

After seeing Candy Cane on Kaushals blog I had to have it. As soon as I got home I whacked it on and instantly fell in love, its so purrrdy....

Its mega hard to photograph though, it keeps bloody coming up pink!! The swatch of it (above) is a lot truer to its colour.

As the lippies are currently on deal in Superdrugs at 2 for £6, of course I picked up 4! its only standard for us make up junkies. They are all very lovely on and most of the colours in the range will suit everyone.

I have included swatches above of the other colours I picked up with the names under the pic. Coral Reef is another one that is annoyingly hard to photograph, GAHHH!! but its one you definitely need to check out.

I'm actually in love with all the lippies I picked up, now I just need to buck up the confidence to walk outside with them on -_-

Bags And Chains Excite Me....

Hey ladies, Just a quick post....

Yesterday I met up with Shirley for a spot of shopping and my new drug.. Chocolate cream frappucino lol.

Just thought I would share on here a couple of pieces I picked up, as I did a haul with Shirley already (up soon) But these a just a few bargain pieces I think you should check out.

Firstly Primark have gone there and totally ripped off the classic box shaped Topshop bag. There was a manky white one on the shelf and I wasn't too sure where they were going with that : / but then I saw this beautiful tan one. It doesn't look at all like it came from Primark. So much so when I whipped it out my bag to show my friend her exact words were "That's nice, is it from Topshop (insert gasp) its from Primark" . For £9 people this is an actual steal.

Secondly the black patent bag that caught my eye whilst I was queuing up. Cute and classic, it has a long strap which is always a must for me and it looks a whole lot more expensive than it actually was *cough cough* £7

And last but not least, whilst I was waiting for Shirley (She was late *shakes head* LOL) I picked up a couple pieces from the GoGo Philip range in Topshop. Im a lover of teeny charms on necklaces so this cute cross £5.50 and heart £7.50 were right up my street. There is another piece I'm lusting for from that stand, and I totally forgot to go back and get it, I now have that annoying "why didn't u just pick it up feeling" inside. I will definitely have to go back.

Anyhoo, I had a lovely day apart from when I had a chunk of MSF natural planted in the middle of my head in Mac!! .....whole other story lol, hope you enjoyed the post.x

8 Hour Miracles...

Hey guys, just another quick post about something I'm sure everyone knows about. But for those whodont, I'm about to clue you up.

This little tube of goodness you see before you is Elizabeth Arden's 8hr cream, If you have seen it talked about on tv you will already know its one of the top beauty must haves. Basically this one tube of orange gel has a multitude of uses. Dry skin, Sun burn, Chapped lips... whack some of this on and in 8hrs your sure to be in a better place than you began.

You would assume something so moisturising would be greasy, but I don't find that it is at all, its like the skin just absorbs it.

I personally love this stuff, Ive been using it on a random dry patch that likes to come an visit me every time the weather changes, but this time the jokes on the dry patch lol. I have also been using this a highlight, that's right a highlight!!!! its perfect alone for a natural sheen on the cheekbone area or mix it with a pink or gold toned powder to give yourself a radiant boost, and it really lasts.

This is one of those things that should definitely lay beside your carmex in your handbag. You can pretty much pick this up from anywhere nowadays, or just hit google to grab yourself a bargain. Alternatively if you think your lucks in over on the Elizabeth Arden facebook page HERE they are giving away a product a day.

Bargain Bikini's...

On an emergency run to find a bikini for an impromptu trip to the Sanctuary, I stumbled across some bargains in H&M. Not wanting to spend a bomb the £3.99 price tag was very much appealing to me.

With different pieces you can choose from to mix and match, I opted for a standard black and a lovely bright print ( that looks amazing with a tan) before I had to make the sensible decision to calm myself.

It was the plunging V on the front of these bikini tops that sold me, I thought it was very cute. Not to mention the fact you can tie the back and that they include a removable halter neck strap.

These bikinis look very cute on, but I would suggest that whatever size you are, you go bigger in the bottoms. When I got home it was all a tad "hello bum cheek"

There were loads to choose from, so if your looking to add to your collection without spending a bomb, this could be the way to go.

Anyhoo onto the good stuff..... Can you see my Halo??? not my real one, I mean my hair extensions. I have had these now for about 11 weeks and they are still going strong. The ones I have are these ones HERE . They are 20" Remy human hair extensions (so can be heat styled) and are in the shade chocolate brown.

I got a full head in this pack which costs £59.99 and consists of 8 pieces. 4 pieces with one clip, 2 pieces with 3 clips and 2 pieces with 2 clips. This is more than enough for one persons head, most of the time I will only use 3 long wefts and 2 of the small clips.

So, I have had these for 11 weeks and I must say they are rather amazing. They add volume and length and the colour match for my hair is so perfect they are undetectable. When these first arrived, I was rather impressed. Being a hair extension virgin, I didn't know what to expect but the hair was really soft and thick.

I whacked them in without any issues, literally part your hair and clip them in. At first I was worried that one gust of wind would have me chasing pieces of hair down the high street, but when clipped in they are so secure you can tug on your hair and they wont budge.

I missed my long locks and I am happy to say that these give me the comfort that I need without looking fake.

I will definitely be purchasing my next lot in time for my friends wedding.

Hey ladies.... So I'm not dead -_-

I have just been so busy I haven't had the chance to fit blogging in. So much so I actually tweeted today that I was going to take a little break away from it. But whilst I was chilling out on the sofa playing with my nails, I decided to take a few snaps as I knew it would be something you would (hopefully) like.

With a little help from Barry M white, Models Own Nude Beige and a sewing pin I went polka dot crazy.

Its really easy to do, just paint your nails as normal load up your sewing pin and dollop.

I think I'm going to do a pastel base next, its all the rage darlings......

p.s I will be trying to update as much as I can, but please bare with me if I don't. If you begin to miss me so much you cant cope anymore, you can always follow my antics HERE

Ive always been a believer of wearing your best undies as you never know when you may be hit by a bus, or because something random is bound to happen on that one day you decide to slip....

Take this for example...

An event that took place last week Friday outside Liverpool's River Island store for charity Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.

Over 150 locals were willing to drop their old jeans or trousers in the street and walked away wearing a fantastic, brand new pair of River Island jeans, organised to celebrate River Island’s Denim Week 11- 20th March.

The catch.... You had to drop your jeans on the spot, no hiding away lol

Those who took part in the swap were encouraged to donate their old jeans to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, and over 112 items were collected for the charity on the day. River Island are also giving us a lovely 25% off their denim range in celebration of their Denim Week which runs till 20th March.

Do you go to sleep with make up on?

Lol, I am so Bad, whenever I come home late, Or when Im just really tired I go to sleep with my make Up on! Lol (A lot of the time) I just cant be bothered to go through the effort of taking it off Hehe.. naughty me!

Do you have a NightTime Skincare routine?

The days I do bother to take my make Up off.. I just remove my make Up with a make up wipe and then splodge Vaseline Moisture Locking cream all over my face.. Exfoliating and all that malarkey occurs in the morning!!

Is there something You always have to do every Night before you go to sleep..Like a ritual or something :P?

I cant go to sleep Unless The Special someone calls me to say goodnight!! :$

Do you sleep with something.. (A bear/Blankey) ?

Ok.. So mine is a little weird Lol, I don’t sleep with the regular teddies and whatnot.. I cant sleep unless I have two Pillows.. One under my head, and One on the side of Me Lol, because I tend to turn somehow in my sleep and My head ends Up on the other pillow haha

Do you eat drink anything every night before you sleep?

I would Like to say I go to sleep after I eat fruit. But That would be an utter Lie!! I am unhealthy like none other!! I don’t really drink anything either, Although I should really drink milk as Im a Short S#%T !! Lol..

I've kindly been invited to blog on the wonderful 'Beauty and the Blog', and I have decided to do What I wore Last Night post as in this I thought I could include everything to hair, clothes, and make up .. so here it goes. Enjoy!

Look of Last Night!

It was my good friends Charlotte's 20th Birthday and the plan was we'd all head down to Shorditch/Brick lane for the evening, I wasnt too sure what to expect so I didn't really know what to wear that would be appropriate.

What I wore..

I ended up going for my tribal jumpsuit which is so lovely to wear, it makes me feel so comfortable in myself and how I look. One of my major hates - is when you go out in something and your really not sure weather to wear it or whether it looks quite figure hugging on me, it just then makes me end up worrying all night, not good! Personally I think my sense of style is a little different, I know that I'm definitely the one to look different out of all my friends. I like to look unique and try out new styles and looks - and I think my tribal jumpsuit is definitely one of those. With my jumpsuit I wore a wore a little back boob tube underneath to make me a little warmer and I know its all ways colder in central London, also the jumpsuit itself is quite thin. I had my Topshop brown leather booty heels on which I can always rely on to be comfortable on a long night out.

Accessories I have hundreds off but I don't really get on to well with them, I try and wear them but after a while I get a little annoyed and just end up taking them off - so I normally don't bother. But this time I has just had one little accessories which I kind of created myself , one feathered earring which I had altered to make it more how I imagined it to be. Anyway just my luck I wear my new earring out and end up not coming home with it. sad times :( it must of feel out in the club, I was gutted I loved my little creation. I'm going to have to make another one. For a bag I just had my little side brown purse that went across my body, so I didn't have to worry about putting it down all night.

My night time make up is so different to the day time. One there's so much more, Two there's darker colours, and Three I take ten times longer to put it all on :P

There doesn't look like a lot of make-up here, but once I had caked it on my face it did ;)

My Hair..

I didn't want to wear my hair down as it had been raining hardcore all day and I knew soon as I would go outside my hair would just turn to frizz!

So i opted for the up-do look, with a back combed quiff.

To achieve this, I simply used..

Superdrugs - Dry Shampoo

Wella Silvikrin - Hair Spray Firm Hold

Garnier Fructis Style - Extreme Gel spray

I back combed the top of my hair just in the middle by the roots, after I had back combed a section I would spray some hairspray to hold the combed hair up and in place so it wouldn't fall flat. After my hair was all back combed I simply pulled back all the hair into a tight pony tail making sure both sides of my hair were slicked back and tightly held. Once I had my hair in place I ran the comb gently over the back combed quiff to neaten and shape it a little. I then tied my hair in place and put a few pins in to hold a few areas that where sticking up down. And then continued spraying mounds and mounds of hairspray on top.

Personally I don't think I achieved a big enough quiff, as I would of liked. But by this time I was running out of time and had to hurry my getting ready process up. Next time I would back comb a lot more to achieve a higher raised area.

Hello there Beauty and the Blog readers!
As you may already know Beauty and the Blog is being invaded by guest bloggers this week and its my job to to do the Saturday post! For those of you who don't know who I am my name is Sophie and I created the VivaGlam026 blog and Youtube channel. I live and breathe all things fashion and makeup so for my guest blogging post I've decided to share a few of my beauty cheats and show you some high street (or "drugstore" for all you readers over the pond) dupes for high end brand products.

1) Ok so this may not be the world's biggest secret but I feel it is essential for any dupe post. These products are so similar to the point that, what I think, the only thing separating the two products is packaging and price. And they are... e.l.f's High Definition Powder and Make Up For Ever's HD Powder. I own the e.l.f powder and have tried the MUFE one many times and I can honestly say they are pretty much identical powders! I love to use my e.l.f one as a translucent finishing powder, it - like its MUFE equivalent - leaves the skin feeling so smooth without giving a powdery effect. They both also claim to work great with cameras and HD recorders, providing a "soft glow" to the skin and I have to say just looking in the mirror I can see the glowy effect. The e.l.f powder retails at £6 in the UK and the MUFE one is available at around £22.50 and overall I would definitely choose the e.l.f powder as you get an identical soft powder product in what I have to say is definitely nicer packaging.

2) Now this next one isn't an exact dupe for the Lancome Ombre Absolue Mono Eyeshadow (the name has rubbed off my one but I can see the word "Deep" and the numbers 118) but they look very similar on the eye when applied and blended. And it is Make Up Academy's single pearl eyeshadow in Shade 14. The Lancome shadow is slightly lighter than the MUA one and the shimmer is more finely milled but the two green shades are still similar, and with the MUA alternative being just £1 (yes a quid!!) compared with the Lancome £16.35 I would be sure to check it out first before investing in the high end shadow. I would even go as far to say that the MUA shadow is more pigmented than the Lancome and you get far more product so the MUA is definitely the bargain here!

3) The love for the nude lip seems to be growing and growing and I have to admit I am swaying to the nude side after previously being a firm sceptic. Probably the most well know "true" nude lipstick is M.A.C's Creme D'Nude - a creamy pink-toned flesh nude colour. Priced at £13.50 in the UK it isn't highly expensive but still, a high street equivalent is always loved. The one I've found (again not a secret but worth an honourable mention) is GOSH Darling, priced at around £6 and available from Superdrug, this true nude is an amazing dupe for the cult classic MAC equivalent. Apart from the slight difference in texture, the two are practically identical, although the picture shows the GOSH one to look slightly matte - which it isn't. So girls, if its a nude you're looking for but aren't sure whether to invest in MAC take a look in your local Superdrug and try this lil devil out.

4) Moving on to my favourite eyeshadow now - Walnut Pearl by 17 - a fantastic dupe for Mulch by M.A.C. The two are both warm, mid-toned browns with shimmer in. In the picture they dont look all that similar but in the person and once applied, the two are practically identical in colour. The only difference ive noticed is the texture, the 17 one is far firmer in the pot than the soft MAC one, the MAC tends to have a little fall out if the product isnt packed on to the brush so in that sense the 17 has the advantage. All in all I think its personal preference when it comes to choosing between the two, I now prefer to collect MAC shadows in pan form to put in palettes so have started to sway away from individual shadows. On the other hand, at just £3.29 the 17 is far cheaper than the MAC at £12 in the pot and around £10 in pan form.

5) The next two I have only heard reviews on and that is NYX's Pinch and Nars's Orgasm. According to reviews the two are extremely similar both in colour and in texture as you can probably see from the picure below. Unfortunately NYX is only available online in the UK and even then it isn't readily available but NYX is a high street brand from over the pond and as we can see offers a great alternative to the high end Nars one, so if you can find it on the net or you live in a country that sells it I would say its definitely worth a look at!

6) Now if you're a subscriber to my Youtube channel you will probably have already seen me rave about the next product, the St Moriz Mousse Self Tanner. I've hailed it as an EXACT dupe for the world famous St Tropez mousse alternative. Even looking at the ingredients list you can see there is nothing between the two. if you want to see a full video review click visit my channel at http://www.youtube.com/vivaglam026

7) Last but not least...Next, I've recently noticed, tend to release perfumes inspired by the popular high end ones of the time. They've released ones inspired by Marc Jacobs's Daisy and recently they're released a new fragrance which looks suspiciously similar in packaging to Chanel Chance. Their inspired perfumes are similar in both scent and packaging and this is no exception.. Pure by Next I've discovered is excitingly close to Fuel For Life by Diesel in both scent and packaging. Just today i've had many compliments when wearing it and have been asked if it is the Diesel perfume. At £6 I would definitely have a look in next once in a while to see which fragrances they have in, you may be pleasantly surprised to see your favourite there!

Hey everyone J First things first let’s get the niceties out the way- I’m Corrie and I blog over usually at Dizzybrunette3. I am so excited to be doing a guest post on Beauty and the blog as I have been a fan for many months J

Now onto the actual post! My favourite beauty product is most probably nail polish, I think it can add so much to an outfit and there are so many fab colours and brands out there! Now I don’t know about you but whenever I am about to pop off on holiday, I am such a dither about what nail colours to choose. As a nail polish lover, it’s a big decision and for ages before I am spying the nail varnish counters to make sure I get the perfect one.

Over the past few winter months, I have found and discovered a lot of gorgeous polishes which are just PERFECT for summer/ holidays.

I have chosen six polishes from my collection and hope you enjoy reading about them J

The Bright’s:

Barry M- Flamingo Pink – this is a gorgeous coral/bright pink which is just divine! It’s so pretty and such an unusual colour. Barry M polishes are definitely my favourite, they are really cheap, hardwearing and there are so many lovely colours to choose from. This is one of my favourites from the brand and I think it will look gorgeous on fingers or toes on the beach!

Rimmel Pro- Coral Romance- This is a beautiful bright coral polish which to be honest looks gorgeous all year round but especially with a tan! I also really love the brush with this polish as it’s really wide and you can coat the whole nail in one stroke which is great for messy nail painters like me!

China Glaze- Pink Voltage Neon- Now this is Barbie nails to the max! A fluorescent pink which is just wow. It makes your fingers stand out that’s for sure! It’s also really good quality and would last throughout all those holiday activities!

Pastels:

Models Own- Lilac Dream- This is lovely, it’s such a pretty colour which I especially love for toes. I think it’s so summery and just gorgeous. Models Own polishes are fab and I love them for the fact they dry so quickly!

Barry M- Pure Turquoise- Another Barry M! Blue polishes are always a bit scary and I always think “Will I look like a smurf?” But you won’t with this polish; it’s a lovely colour which just screams sunshine!

Models Own- Fuzzy Peach- This is a gorgeous pastel orange colour that reminds me of ice lollies, this will look stunning come those sunny months and I can’t wait to rock it on the beach!

Creation: 007 Style

Hey my Secret Agent Undercover Beauties!

I hope all is well in the world of top-secret missions! Welcome to my Creation Mission 007 Style. I was invited to a James Bond Theme Party the other night and I am going to be completely honest with you all now and I tell you that there is only one James Bond film I have watched the whole way through and that is Casino Royal – and only because a friend actually bought me the DVD specifically to watch. LIQUID EYELINER TYPES AND EYELINER TUTORIAL

Liquid eyeliners, felt-tip eyeliners, gel eyeliners… how’s a girl supposed to choose which one to use? Well here’s my little show of different types of eyeliners, the effects they give and finally my first beauty how-to video: how I apply liquid eyeliner!

Bourjois Liner Feutre

This eyeliner comes in the form of a felt-tip pen to make it easy to use. As you can see the nib is very precise and does give easy application.

It’s a great products for first time users, the nib gives a steady flow of liner and makes eyeliner easy. My only complaint is that it’s not a very dark line, it’s more watery and grey.

Here’s the result. A great line and really easily applied but I’d prefer something more bold.

Collection 2000 Fast Stroke Eye Liner

This eyeliner comes in the traditional pot-and-brush format, the handle on the blog is the perfect length to hold easily and balance on your hand for a smooth line. I like the tip of this brush too, it’s a felty brush which I find easier to use than the traditional bristles brush.

You can see the brush holds together and isn’t bendy so gives a great line. Here’s the result

You can see it gives a bold line, it’s not too thick and application is really easy and controllable.

No7 Gel Eyeliner

This eyeliner is an ink pot and brush application. The brush has a very small handle which is quick fiddly, and apparently the eyliner dries up in the pot after a while. The brush length is really good though, nice and short for precise application. As you can see in my old review, it’s really lovely to use, but maybe not a first-time liquid liner to use. Here’s the result

This liner gives a very bold line again, and as you can see from the very first photo,

in comparison to other liquid eyeliners it looks more gel and shiney compared to the others.

The last thing I have to show you is a liquid eyeliner tutorial! This is my first ever video and you can probably see I’m really nervous – I’m glad I managed to keep a smooth hand through the video!

Well, hello hello there dolls! I hope you’re all having a lovely day. So, first things first... My name’s Kaushal & I’m obsessed with pretty much anything girly. Hey ladies, as you all know (If you follow me on twitter) im sick at the moment. My voice is 80% gone and if I was talking to you over the phone I would probably sound like an old man that smokes 40 a day -_-. Yesturday was the first time I opened my laptop since my natural nail post (awful I know) everything in my life (apart from my child lol) has been getting a bit neglected. So I came up with a solution.

Morning all!

And I mean “morning”. It’s a rainy Saturday and Cat woke me up at 0800 by jumping onto my bed, lying on my hair and meow-crying until I tickled him in that spot under his chin, right at the back towards his left jaw line. If you have a cat, you know it.

I’m in bed, I’m hungover, I can’t find a decent internet-stream of the Grey’s Anatomy episode I want to watch and there’s no one here to make me pancakes. American-style pancakes.

What will make me feel less gloomy? Painting my nails. And so many wonderful, wonderful colours to choose from...!

Current favourites:

• Chanel “Black Pearl” (Boots - £18)

This colour is divine; I’m in love with it! The magazines have been raving about it and I want a Porsche in this colour. When people say, “Hey! Cool colour car; what is it?” I can say, “Chanel Black Pearl,” and look totally smug about it.

(I bet I won’t look so smug when they go and scratch it when I’m not looking, muttering, “we’ll show that smug fool...!”)

There’s also a white version you could use to French mani your Black Pearl nails with, but I’m feeling low maintenance nails lately.

The colour is slightly too teal-based to be genuinely like a black pearl, but it’s still fantastic. The best description I read about this colour is “dark cosmic green”, which is pretty much exactly what it is.

Suck it up and buy it. There are no close dupes out there. You’ll regret it otherwise. Go on. We might not be able to afford paint a whole car with it, but we can certainly have nice nails while we’re driving around London in our Volkswagons and Fords!!

• Chanel “Vendetta” (Boots - £18)

A dark purple colour, which looks black unless there’s a lot of light hitting it. As with many Chanel polishes it’s a pain to remove and not worth the money. There are better substitutes out there and things far more deserving of your eighteen quid!

• YSL’s Cornflower Blue / Mushroom Spring “Manicure Couture Duo” Set (Selfridges - £20 for both)

I already feel out of date with this since the A/W collections are strutting down various runways as we speak, but this spring set was too delightful not to mention.

Again, the two colours were intended to be used as a French manicure set, which I tried once but didn’t overly enjoy. While both colours look great, the navy – ohhh the navy! I got through half this bottle in a month I loved it that much.

Downside? £20 for 12ml of polish is pretty painful.

• Seche Vite’s Top Coat (Ebay - £4.99)

I know everyone has been going on about this since forever, but I only just bought it. It’s incredible. It makes your nail varnish touch-dry super fast and it doesn’t chip. I’m a programmer; I type on a keyboard from 8am until 6pm every day and my nails still.don’t.chip. That’s amazing, trust me.

• American Apparel Polishes (New York – 3 for £6)

California Trooper (left), Raccoon (right), my friend stole the third. I can’t say that I’m overly bothered about it (In fact, I might just give her the other 2..).

After I used up my 2 Mac polishes from the “Warm & Cosy” collection I’ve been looking for dupes, and while in NYC I stumbled across these colours. I love American Apparel clothes so I was more than willing to give their polishes a go.

The consistency is variable. While the lighter California Trooper’s is fantastic, Raccoon’s is gloopy and difficult to apply. When applied they’re pretty quick to dry and the colours and true to how they are in the bottle with a single coat. They chip quickly and I wouldn’t pay what they’re asking for in this country.

So I might not have fluffy, doughy pancakes with little chocolate chips and maple syrup. I might have Cat’s fur in my hair. I might have to spend money on the Grey’s Anatomy box set. But my nails are cosmic and everything feels a little bit better.

Natural Nail care and NOTD

Many of you have always complimented me on my nails, but recently I had a comment on one of my posts asking if I could do a nail care post including thing I use in my nail care regime. I think I am quite lucky in the nail area, but I will give you the basics of what I do to keep them tip top.

NEVER saw nails when filing, always go from the left inward, then the right inwards. Sawing will only cause your nails to break,flake and split.

Make sure your using the right file, you don't want to use a grit that's to high for your nails, once again this will only cause breakage. I like to use the qvs nail files, you can usually find them at the till side in Superdrug. They only cost 99p.

Use and acetone free nail polish remover, acetone will only dry your nail bed out.

Cuticle oil or olive oil is your friend, massage it into your cuticles and nails after you have removed polish to re nourish them. Make sure you wash your hands after if you plan to paint your nails straight after, otherwise the polish wont adhere.

Let your nails BREATH! Ok we all love our nail colours but our nails need to breath to help them grow healthily and strong. Try to give nail polish a miss for 24hrs once a week at least. This will also help keep that dreaded yellow stain at bay.

BUFF once every couple of weeks to get the blood flowing through your nails. You don't need a professional buffer, you can pick up one of those 4 way nail files and use the shine step side to buff your nails with a little nail cream.

Last but not least your nail shape should slightly mimic the shape of your cuticle. I personally think sqoval(square oval) is a perfect shape for most.

EXTRA TIPS

If your nails are extra brittle and prone to breakage keep them short and soak them in milk once a week for 15min, this will help strengthen them.

Get rid of those dreaded yellow stains by using a white block file to lightly buff the surface of your nail, don't make this a habit though as in time it will thin the nail surface.

In the past I did mess with acrylics even though I didn't need too, and I totally screwed up my nails, thankfully I nursed them back to health.

Hope this post helps those who have been curious, I am a nail technician (even though I don't dabble in that any more) so you can trust that I'm not talking rubbish lol so if you have anymore questions, feel free to fire away.

Lets face it, the day couples love to love and singles love to hate is just around the corner. Theres no escaping hearts and flowers in every shop window, and that one annoying friend that talks about nothing else but the day in question.

If your one of those that are already planning your hair and make up from now (insert shocked face) then ARTDECO's irresistible beauty buys, loved by celebs may be just up your street.

Let me firstly kick off with the product I'm loving the most out of the 3. The 3 in 1 mascara (rrp £13.25) has to be one of the best mascaras I have used in a long time, my lashes have never looked so long.- celeb fan Michelle Keegan

What I say:

To sum it up in a nutshell. They didn't lie, the mascara does exactly that, as you can see from the first picture, absolutely love it.

Next up, lip passion smooth touch lipstick (rrp £16.50) in shade 35 passion. Michelle Keegan is a fan of this too, and they can add another Michelle (me) to the list. This lipstick is like lip balm. It literally melts on your lips leaving them so soft. The application is lovely, it just glides on. This is also fragrance free and contains vitamin E and Shea butter.

Last but not least the Ceramic nail Lacquer (rrp £10.25) in spicy red. Although Holly Willoughby is a fan, I wasn't really a fan of this myself. The polish was a nice consistency and easy to apply but I love my colours to be opaque and this was not. The above picture was taken after 3 coats and I could still see my nails through it. So in all I Love the colour and the application, hate the fact its not opaque.

I had never tried ARTDECO products before now and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be looking at their lipstick range and investing in another mascara when this one runs out.

Sensitive Scalps

Hi girls, sorry for the lack of posting this week, I have been stupid busy, a little sick and overly tired, but seen as im just chilling now I thought I would do a quick post to tide you all over : )

Right, I dont know about you but when its cold outside, the oil balance in my scalp seems to some what shift and my scalp seems to flip into uber sensitive mode.

At the moment im using head and shoulders for sensitive scalps, it seems to be the only shampoo that doesnt irritate my scalp at the moment. It contains almond oil to keep everything nicely nourished, and it leaves my hair really soft.

I recently watched a video that I thought might help those of you that have the same problem in the colder months. The video shows you how you should wash your hair and also shows you how to do a cute Mary- Kate, Ashley Olsen toussled wave style.

I'm always trying to find a new product that's going to make my hair bigger and better. With my type of hair I find that volume doesn't tend to last very long, but when I am armed with this its a totally different story. I simply put a 50p sized dollop in my hand, rub it in my hair, blow dry, style and then I'm done.

I already have quite thick hair so its quite hard for me to comment on that side of things, but the elevate side of things gets a massive thumbs up from me.

Taking inspiration from an email I received a little while back about the Topshop Unique S/S 11 show, I decided to create the look myself. It was all about the lips with the eyes kept barely there. Skin was left looking fresh with tinted moisturiser and a highlight was applied to the areas the sun would naturally illuminate. SIMPLES.....

In reality this look is so pretty (crappy camera) and my lips were super super red.

The scent is one I would wear, its somewhere between sweet and musky but its not too much of either (I'm so rubbish at describing things). The solid perfume inside the ring melts at the touch and blends into skin effortlessly. *smells hand* Mmmmm

Hey girls, sorry for the lack of posting, I have been a tad busy as I'm starting my new job soon *YAY* as well as that I'm also the beauty editor for Champagne and Stilletos so if you don't find me here, I might be there.... Anyway enough with the life stories, onto the post!

When I saw this double finger cross ring on Sammi a while back, I instantly had to have it, but as per usual with the luck I have they were sold out everywhere *insert sad face* but the other day when online shopping with Shirley over twitter (LOL) I discovered ASOS had them back in stock. They had gold and silver, as you can see I went for the silver. They were doing free next day delivery at the time to so overall it was a very happy moment for me -_-

Secondly I just thought Id include whats on my nails right now. Its Avon matte polish in inky blue, I'm really loving it but I have come to realise that matte polish chips like a biatch.

Black On Black....

I recently purchased a couple matte polishes from Avon, one being the matte black. I decided to do a simple french manicure using the matte black as the base and a normal black for the tip, you could easily paint on the tip using a clear varnish, but I didn't have one to hand that was super glossy. Its the first time I have painted my nails with a matte polish and I really like it, I cant believe I left it so long to jump on the matte wagon.

I really love the look of it and in reality it looks ten times better. I think next time I do this I will go for black leopard print instead.

The Eraser By Maybelline

Maybelline have recently launched their new eraser foundation....

What they say: The Eraser works above and below the skins surface to help erase the look of fine lines, crows feet, age spots and enlarged pores in an instant! With its patented applicator and active anti-aging formula, The Eraser works on two levels to offer our fastest and most efficient way to erase the appearance of skin imperfection.

What I Say (The Good):I think this is a lovely foundation, its a medium to heavy buildable coverage and is perfect for those who love the airbrushed look. I'm only 24 so I don't have crows feet and age spots, but I do have the odd enlarged pore that this covered nicely. The finish is more on the matte side with a soft glowy sheen and its very easy to blend, with a little going a very long way.

I wore this at the weekend without powdering it to see how long it would last and I got about 6hrs out of it (on my combination skin) before it started fading from my T-zone. Maybelline has always been my go to brand for high street foundations and they never seem to disappoint me.

(The Bad):The only thing I don't like about this foundation is the whole eraser design. I see where they were trying to go with it but to be honest it just isn't practical. Firstly because you have to twist the neck of the bottle to get the foundation out, and if you click to much and loads comes out there is no way your getting it back in the bottle. And secondly because you cant remove the white sponge applicator to clean it, and if you do clean it your advised to only do so with a dry tissue. I mean after a while its either going to get clogged or its going to be a breeding ground for bacteria : /

All being said Id give this foundation a 8/10 The shad I used is Fawn

This week my nails are loving Foxy Fuchsia by models own.

It has probably featured on my blog in the past, but for those of you that aren't in the know here it is again.

Its such a vibrant pretty colour, and I can never fault models own. I'm starting to stray away from the dark winter colours, it all about vibrant colours now (well for me at least).

Hey ladies, I'm back... I hope you all had a great Xmas and new year. I just thought I would do a quick post on a little discovery I made on Christmas eve.

As we all know Superdrug had 3 for 2 on cosmetics over Christmas. Now I'm not one to spend money when I don't have too *cough cough lies!* but I do like to think that technically I am saving if theres an offer on. So I picked up a couple of bits then I started searching the shelves for a 3rd item,oh the stress nothing would do! until .....

*Insert Angel music*

I saw this beauty sitting on the shelf just dieing to be swatched. At first I thought nothing of it, and after I swatched it I put it back. But then I heard that little voice inside of me (you girls know the voice I mean) the one that says," if you don't buy me now your going to get home and regret it, and you know when you bring yourself back to this shop, I ain't gonna be here!!"

Don't fear ladies, as you can see from the pictures above I clearly listened to the voice. If your ever in superdrug or boots and you see Rimmel Summer Angel pick it up!! I'm not usually a fan of pink lipstick at all, but this is so pretty, it gives lips a subtle hint of colour, enough for people to say "ooh whats that" and it isn't at all drying. It is now my everyday go to lippie.

Fire Eyes.......

Hey girls I'm back with an eye look courtesy of MeMeMe Cosmetics.

MeMeMe have recently launched a number of quad and trio eye shadows for us to create the ultimate party looks aided by an easy step by step guide.....

For this look I will be using the fire quad and the eye sweep precision eye definer (liquid liner)

Left to right: Orange, Hot Pink, Rustic Red and Gold. I think the colours are really pretty and although they are subtle they have just the right amount of pigmentation to make a statement.

Oh and ladies if your like me and you only appreciate a true black liner I suggest you give this one a try, its so black!!!

Sadly as I'm not at home I'm without my make up brushes, but I'm not one to let something so minor stand in my way. Armed with my fingers, a cotton bud and my 4 step instructions I went to work.

Ant the finished look.....

Considering I used my fingers I was surprised at how lovely it looked, I cant wait to do it with a brush. The instructions are so simple there is no way you could go wrong.

Over Christmas and new years I always want to do something different, or at least wake up on new years day feeling different.

I spotted this image in a hair mag (so exuse the massive light reflection at the top) a few days back and fell in love, I'm a sucker for loose messy curls. I love everything about this picture the makeup and the hair so I will definitely be re creating this look over new years if I decide to go out.
I could create this look on my own hair, but realistically when its the party season you want to go all out. In other words the bigger the hair the better.

I want my hair to stay voluminous minus the hair spray, so that's where your help comes in......

Can you recommend me some good quality clip in hair extensions???

And do any of you like to have a change for new years.....

The Lisa Shepherd Experience

Hey girlies, I was recently invited to the Lisa Shepherd London Salon to get my hair done...... errr what girl would say no to that!

To most of us Lisa is known as the lady who coloured people's hair on ten years younger, but I was heading there for an appointment with Jason Cocking.
He has been in the business for 15 years and styled the locks of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Nigella and Cat Deely just to name a few. He was also the colourist on the recent Guy Ritchie film, Sherlock Holmes.

First off let me tell you how lovely the salon is, No wait actually you can see for yourself...

Very sleek and modern, and I was loving the egg shaped seats ( I'm such a child)

So onto the hair...

I could have taken advantage off this and changed my whole look, but no what does little old boring me do, I chicken out and opt for my roots being lifted, a trim, A vegetable colour gloss, some weight being taken out the sides and a straight blow dry.

Even though Its a minor change, I love it. The colour is perfect and my hair is much bouncier now that the weights been taken out. The dead ends are gone too, it had to be done.....

After the above picture was taken I had my hair washed. The chair I was sitting in massaged my back whilst I was given the most amazing head massage. I could of actually fell asleep.

This was my hair when I got home, I did get a bit wind swept on the way -_-. I love the shine, it was insane when I stepped out of the salon, and I definitely caught a few ladies giving me the side eye on the way home. (Haha!)

The whole experience was great, I was really looked after. Most importantly I was listened too, there was no crazy scissor action going on here!

I felt like I was in there for no time at all, and I was loving that the hair colours they used develop in 10 minutes.

I didn't think anyone would be able to handle my hair but oh my I was so proved wrong. To blow dry my hair is a job in itself, Jason is the only person in my life that has given me a perfect blow dry using just a brush, my old hairdresser gave up half way through (the cheek!!) I think he deserves a medal.

I just want to say a big thank you to everyone at the salon, especially to Jason for conquering the bush that is my hair, I love it

Ladies don't ever say a man cant do a good job....

Just a quick post for you ladies featuring Barry M Raspberry. I forgot I had this baby tucked away *slaps wrist*

I decided to have a little play around with my nail art pen on one of my nails, and came up with this cute checker board effect....

How I achieved the look...

I first painted my nails with the Barry M polish

I then painted 4 black lines down and 6 across (you can also use black liquid liner if you haven't got a nail art pen)

Finally I filled in each square alternately in black

Simples.......

I Need A Curl Friend...

Some of you may have seen me post this wild like bush on twitter a while back before I went to bed.

Please don't be alarmed, I did not stick my finger in a socket, this is my hair when its left to air dry naturally. The above picture was taken when it was about 70% dry, It only grew bigger with time -_- I used to have much more of it when I was younger and was nicknamed 'lion' whenever anyone had attempted to give it a blow dry, and again -_-

Its all well and good having hair like this if you've got an on tap zoo keeper to tame it, which I sadly do not have. Nothing and I mean nothing has ever tamed my hair in its natural state, Its definitely in a league of its own

Enter Umberto Giannini new Curl Friends range, designed to help curly head girls stay frizz free....

The Hairspray...
This spray is one like no other, no matter how much you spray, it never gives your hair that crunchy cornflake feeling. It smells lovely and definitely keeps style in place for a solid few hours. I would recommend this to anyone really, I have used this when my hairs straight and its just as good.

The Serum....
Designed to keep frizz at bay and enhance your curls leaving them shiny and smooth, without leaving you looking like you have dunked your head in a bucket of grease. This definitely passed the test, I pumped a lot of this stuff into my hair and all I got was shine, no grease. I do have the type of hair that soaks up moisture like a sponge though, so bare that in mind.

The Mask...

If you love the feel of a rich intensive mask slathered all over your head, then you will love this whether your hair is curly or straight. The treatment itself is an intensive moisturising conditioner that helps tame frizz and repair damage hair. I kept this on my hair for around 10 min, and wrapped my head up with cling film and a warm towel (oh the glamour). Once I had rinsed this out my hair felt so soft and there was a definite shine.

All in all I love, and I would say you could definitely use these whether your hair is straight or curly. If you are going to try these on naturally straight hair, make sure your hair is on the thicker side as I'm not sure if these would weigh down thinner hair.

Sadly my hair defeated these products, although my curls were much more defined my root area was just out of control, which is the norm for me. I gave in and headed to my straighteners, but I was left with uber shiny hair so that was a bonus.

I'm fighting a losing battle when it comes to taming my natural hair, I'm never going to win.

Christmas is around the corner people, well 16 days away to be exact.....

Have I put my tree up...NO

Have I bought any presents...Umm NO

Ive got double the pressure because its my little girls birthday on the 22nd and I don't do the joint present thing, I have always thought that was a tad cruel.

I don't know whats wrong with me this year, last year I was all over Christmas like a moth to a flame, Presents were sorted by October.

Am I the only one that's a bit slow off the mark this year? I think I need to get my booty in check and head for the shops asap.

Hey ladies so sorry I have been MIA for the past few days, I have had a rather crazy weekend. But fear not I'm back with a post, and its a little random at that. Today I thought Id share with you a couple of things I'm loving from two ends of the spectrum.... Fashion and Beauty

First up we have Superdrugs Vitamin E creams, One for the day and one for the night. At £2.99 I cant stress enough what a worthwhile bargain these creams are. They keep my skin looking radiant, feeling soft and constantly hydrated. Neither of them are greasy, The night cream isn't too heavy and it leaves your skin feeling baby bum soft. The day cream soaks into the skin nicely leaving you the perfects canvas to apply your make up, It also has the added bonus of SPF 15.

I also have very sensitive skin, so I'm wary as to what touches it. I haven't had a single issue with these. I definitely think you should try these for a couple weeks next time your moisturiser runs out.

Next up..... The Aviator

I have wanted one on these for ever. With the one I had my eye on costing a whopping £150 I controlled myself knowing that one day I would find one that looked just like it.

And Primark does it again!! as soon as I saw this I had to double take, just to make sure I was actually in the right shop.

They payed attention to every single detail, from the buckles to the zips. The best thing is that it looks exactly the same as the £150 one I was eyeing up, but of course its not leather.

I think you all will agree it was a steal at £25 !!! although I do remember the days when a jacket in Primark cost no more than £15, where are they going with their prices nowadays *ROLLS EYES*
